Part One
Candidate Terms & Conditions
Registration, placement charges, payment requirements and employment-related responsibilities.
01
Free Candidate Registration
Registering with GJC is free. Candidates are not required to pay
an advance or registration fee simply to submit their résumé or
register interest in employment opportunities.
02
Consultancy Charges After Successful Placement
Under GJC's candidate placement policy, a consultancy charge
equivalent to 50% of the candidate's first month's gross salary
may become payable following successful placement, in accordance
with the applicable service terms.
The applicable amount and payment conditions should be explained
to the candidate before the candidate accepts the relevant
placement terms. This provision is subject to applicable law.
03
Job Confirmation Charge
A separate job confirmation charge of ₹499 may apply after
successful job confirmation. It is distinct from the consultancy
charge described above.
This charge is subject to prior disclosure and the candidate's
agreement to the applicable terms. Candidate registration itself
does not require an advance payment.
04
Payment Policy
Candidates are expected to settle applicable charges within the
agreed payment period once the relevant obligation has been
properly disclosed and accepted.
Under GJC's stated policy, discounts and instalment facilities
are not available unless otherwise agreed in writing. All payment
obligations remain subject to applicable law.
05
Resignation and Notice Period Requirements
Candidates moving to a new organisation should follow the
resignation procedures and contractual obligations applicable
to their existing employment.
Where required by the employment agreement or company policy,
candidates should provide at least one month's notice before
leaving their current position. The actual period may vary
according to the employment contract, organisational rules
and applicable law.
06
Statutory and Contractual Notice Periods
Candidates should review their employment agreements carefully
and follow valid statutory and contractual notice requirements
that apply to their circumstances. Failure to comply with
applicable obligations may have consequences under the
relevant agreement and law.
07
Salary Deductions and Payment Authorisation
Where legally permitted and properly authorised, an employer
or organisation may facilitate the deduction and remittance of
agreed consultancy charges from a candidate's salary, subject
to applicable wage laws and contractual requirements.
Any proposed deduction should be disclosed in advance and
supported by the necessary lawful authorisation. Candidates
should clarify the amount, purpose and timing before agreeing
to the relevant terms.
08
Post-Placement Responsibilities and Limitations
GJC facilitates recruitment by connecting candidates with
potential employers. After a candidate joins an organisation,
workplace management, salary payments, performance reviews,
disciplinary action and termination are generally governed
by the employer's policies, the employment agreement and
applicable law.
Placement assistance does not guarantee continued employment
or a particular future career outcome. GJC's responsibilities
remain subject to applicable legal obligations and any
responsibilities expressly agreed in writing.
09
Candidate Acknowledgement
Before proceeding with a placement through GJC, candidates
should understand the applicable recruitment terms, payment
obligations, employment conditions and notice-period requirements.
Candidates are encouraged to request clarification about
applicable charges and conditions before agreeing to them.
Keep copies of important communications and relevant written
terms for your records.
Part Two
Candidate Interview Rules & Guidelines
Professional standards for candidates attending interviews arranged,
coordinated or facilitated through Guwahati Job Consultancy.
A good interview begins with preparation, punctuality and a professional
attitude. Candidates are encouraged to communicate honestly, respect
employer expectations and prepare carefully for every stage of the
recruitment process.
01
Arrive Before Your Scheduled Interview
Aim to reach the interview location 10–15 minutes before the
confirmed reporting time. Plan your journey in advance and allow
for possible traffic delays, building access or registration
formalities.
If an unexpected delay occurs, notify the concerned GJC consultant
or company representative as soon as possible. Repeated lateness
without reasonable communication may affect the employer's
assessment of your suitability.
02
Maintain a Professional Appearance
Choose clean, well-fitted clothing suitable for the position
and workplace. Maintain personal hygiene, neat grooming and
a composed appearance throughout the visit.
Formal business attire is recommended for corporate,
administrative, management and client-facing roles unless
the employer specifies a different dress code.
03
Keep Your Documents Ready
Prepare the documents requested for your particular role. Depending on the employer's requirements, these may include:
An updated CV or résumé.
Valid government-issued identification.
Educational certificates and mark sheets.
Previous employment or experience certificates, where applicable.
Relevant professional qualifications, licences or training certificates.
Recent passport-size photographs, if requested.
A portfolio, work samples or other job-related documents, where relevant.
Carry physical copies if requested and keep digital copies available
where accepted. Make sure your résumé is consistent with your
supporting documents. Submit original certificates only when
genuinely necessary for verification, and request their return
when the process is complete.
04
Communicate Clearly and Respectfully
Greet the interviewer politely, listen carefully and answer
questions in a clear, relevant and respectful manner. Introduce
yourself confidently, avoid interrupting and use appropriate
language throughout the discussion.
Ask relevant questions when clarification is needed. If you do
not understand a question, ask the interviewer to explain it
rather than guessing. Avoid arguments, inappropriate remarks
or disrespectful behaviour.
05
Provide Accurate Information About Your Background
Keep the information supplied during registration, résumé
submission and interviews accurate and consistent. Do not
exaggerate qualifications, invent experience, misrepresent
previous employment or provide false salary details.
Explain employment gaps, career changes and other relevant
circumstances honestly when asked. Employers may verify
qualifications, employment history, references and other
job-related information. Misleading information may affect
selection or lead to an employment offer being withdrawn.
06
Respect the Interview Venue and Company Policies
Follow instructions from the employer, security personnel,
reception staff, HR representatives and authorised GJC
consultants. Maintain appropriate conduct in reception areas,
waiting rooms and interview spaces.
Keep your mobile phone silent unless it is needed for the
interview. Do not photograph confidential documents, record
private conversations or share internal company information
without permission. Follow any additional safety, confidentiality
or visitor-access requirements communicated to you.
07
Attend Independently Unless Assistance Is Required
Candidates should ordinarily attend interviews independently
unless the employer permits accompanying persons or assistance
is necessary because of a disability, accessibility need,
age-related concern or another genuine circumstance.
If you require an accompanying person, interpreter or accessibility
support, inform the consultant or employer in advance whenever
possible. Friends and relatives should not enter restricted
interview areas or interrupt the process without permission.
08
Notify the Consultant If Your Plans Change
If you cannot attend a confirmed interview, inform GJC or the
relevant company representative as early as possible. Share
the scheduled interview details and briefly explain the reason
where appropriate.
If you remain interested, request another suitable date or time.
Rescheduling depends on the employer's availability and approval.
Do not assume a new appointment is confirmed until you receive
clear communication. If you withdraw your application, communicate
your decision professionally rather than remaining absent without notice.
09
Handle Employer and Interview Information Responsibly
Some recruitment assignments may involve confidential hiring
requirements, internal vacancies or employer-specific selection
procedures. GJC may share company details, interview locations,
reporting instructions and other information in stages according
to the employer's requirements and recruitment progress.
Use the information provided for legitimate recruitment purposes
and do not share confidential details with unauthorised persons.
If you need further information to make an informed decision
about attending an interview, contact the concerned consultant,
subject to applicable confidentiality requirements.
10
Discuss Salary and Employment Conditions Professionally
Before accepting an offer, understand the important conditions
of the opportunity. These may include salary or compensation,
working hours, responsibilities, work location, weekly holidays,
probation, benefits and reporting arrangements.
Ask the HR representative or authorised recruiter to clarify
anything that remains unclear. Share realistic salary expectations
based on your skills, qualifications, experience and the role's
responsibilities. If you need time to review an offer, request
it rather than accepting under pressure. An interview allows
both parties to assess whether the role is suitable.
11
Follow Up at the Appropriate Time
Employers may need time to interview applicants, compare
candidates, verify documents and obtain internal approval.
Allow a reasonable period before requesting an update and
follow any timeline communicated during the interview.
Avoid repeated calls, excessive messages or demands for an
immediate decision. If a feedback date has been provided,
wait until that date has passed unless there is an urgent
and legitimate reason to contact the employer.
GJC may share updates when information becomes available from
the employer. Final selection decisions and their timing remain
with the hiring organisation.
12
Understand Your Responsibility in Recruitment
GJC helps coordinate recruitment communication and connect
candidates with employment opportunities. Attending an interview
does not guarantee selection, an employment offer or a particular
salary. Decisions depend on the employer's criteria, candidate
qualifications, interview performance, verification requirements
and the availability of the position.
Review the conditions of any employment offer and ask questions
before accepting it. Understand applicable placement charges
through the relevant terms before proceeding. Keep copies of
important communications, submitted documents and written
employment offers for your records.
Your Pre-Interview Checklist
Use this checklist before leaving for your interview. Tick each item as you complete it.
